“…As it was in the days of Lot…” Luke 17:28

While Jesus was in His earthly ministry, He revealed some of the signs that would precede His second coming.

In one passage of scripture, found in Luke 17:28, Jesus told us that the earth would be experiencing a landscape that was very similar to the days of Lot.

What was the world like during the days of Lot? We know from biblical history that God judged the city of Sodom and her sister city Gomorrah, because of grievous sins that had infected them.

We can read about these sins in Ezekiel chapter 16:49-50

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw fit.”

Reading the previous passages of scripture, I find that some of the listed items have an uncanny resemblance to attributes that can be found in today's Western Church. Attributes that seem to regularly say, “I am rich and in need of nothing." How many of today’s sleeping church members have these words of self-confidence chiseled onto their hearts?

A spirit of haughtiness and pride was upon Sodom and Gomorrah, and it has also infected so many people today, especially in the U.S.A. How often in America, do her patriotic suitors have her reciting the words found in Revelation 18:7, "I sit as a queen, I am no widow, and I will never see sorrow?"

Following in the footsteps of Sodom, America is a haughty nation! A credit to her shame that is playing a role in her indictment from heaven! America is adorned with ornaments of pride just like Sodom. But what other sin did ancient Sodom harbor?

Which other trespasses were common in Lot’s day?

 “..And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me…”  Ezekiel 16:50. This verse tells us that Sodom also committed abominations to God! But what were the abominations?

The book of Jude verse 7 tells us: "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

So Sodom and Gomorrah went after fornication and strange flesh. What is strange flesh? That would be a man desiring flesh that is not natural, or in other words, men fornicating and desiring other men; i.e. - homosexuality. I also want to make note that the above verse says "them," which also includes women.

Sodom and Gomorrah had the inundation of homosexuality among their resident citizens. In God's eyes this was an abomination, so He destroyed them and "took them away as He saw fit."

According to the words of Jesus, He said that before His second return, this world would have a similar resemblance to the days of Lot. If we are able to read between the lines, we can understand that Jesus was actually giving us a clue to indicate an “end time sign!”

I believe that Jesus was telling us that during the time of the end, the moral landscape and secular principles of this world would be very familiar to the moral landscape of Sodom and Gomorrah prior to their demise.

So here is the question, “Does our world resemble Sodom and Gomorrah?”  I believe that America and also today’s lukewarm church has the haughty and proud area covered fairly well, but what about the other sin of Sodom; homosexuality?

Is this happening today? Does our present world have a practice and an acceptance of homosexuality? I did a little bit of research to answer this question and brethren, let me say that I was shocked with the results, to say the least. Because I was not expecting the results that I found!

Why? Because no longer are homosexuals quietly coming out of the closet, they are tearing the closet door off of its hinges! No longer is this way of life a closely held secret. Being gay has become the new “cool progressive way!”  And declaring this lifestyle has become a trophy that is held in high esteem by peers and friends alike...PRIDE!!!.

Many of today’s progressive gays are not satisfied staying in the bedroom because now many of them are grabbing bullhorns and gathering in the streets in vocal celebrations of their proud lifestyle!

These celebrations are not anemic social affairs but have become religious assemblies to the “god of their flesh!”

The homosexuals gather and purposely exhibit a disgusting show of solidarity to their lifestyle.

They parade naked in public. They wave their placards, banners and signs that proclaim that they are proud to be gay, lesbian or transgender!

They wear “costumes” and partake in “simulations” that are unfit for public consumption!

A disturbing and recent addition to the mix has been young people in high schools that are now having gay pride parades and celebrations; they are calling their gatherings “Youth Pride!”

Did you ever think that you would live to see the day where American children would march for homosexuality and also blaspheme The Holy One!

This is what the new gospel of tolerance has birthed in our "Christian" country! These kids took a day of school to march for gay rights!

Today's false preachers are busy teaching people how to be prosperous. And this is the fruit!

It is popular among the apostates to say "don't judge!" This really means "shut up!"
So discernment is gone.

And now our children have turned into God haters and rebels fit for destruction!

But where is the leadership? Where are the voices of God decrying this activity?

Hey Obama voters, do any of you wish that you could now take your vote back from this man Obama, America's moral dissappointment? Sorry folks, no refunds!! Obama never implied that he would not support the gay agenda! Apparently you did not do your research or you just did not care to check!

Shame on you!

But I have this question. Why did so many Christians vote for him?

Through this administration, the gay agenda is going to move forward with giant leaps, miles ahead of where it was in the past. And because of this man in the White House, our children will have to endure gay sexual education in their future. Just recently, Obama appointed an anti-religious bigot Kevin Jennings to head up “Safe Schools” efforts at the Department of Education. This person promotes homosexual lessons to school children. Already this movement is getting worldwide traction. In fact, I was very surprised and shocked when I found out through researching for this article that these gay celebration events are not just taking place in San Francisco or America but Worldwide!

As I was researching the cities of the world that are partakers of these "gay pride" displays, I was grieved to see that Tel Aviv, Israel has made it one of her goals to become a “primary gay destination” in the world with marches, celebrations and planned events. Read

I am grieved...

Please note brethren, that the homosexual agenda is just getting started in this world. I believe that it is going to play a major role in the loss of Christian “freedom of speech” in the future.

The gay agenda is going to become a huge thorn in the side of Christianity. Passages of scripture that address this lifestyle are going to be classified as hate speech. I can see sermon content that implies any condemnation of homosexuality becoming illegal. I can also see ministers finding themselves in “hot water” for preaching sermons that remotely identify homosexuality as being wrong.  This is coming very soon brethren. Mr. Obama is going to make sure of it.

As students of prophecy are acquiring their lists of end time signs to look for, I submit to you that the homosexual agenda is a sign occurring before our very eyes!

I am grieved indeed. God help us all.
